Heading for the top of Kalla Pattar Love trekking? Then why don’t you come trekking in Nepal and at the same time make a difference for a Nepali community This year from December 28 2009 – January 24 2010 OZQUEST ADVENTURES is providing the opportunity for volunteers to experience Nepal. You will have the opportunity to be part of some of the most spectacular scenery the world has to offer, meet and walk with some amazing Nepali people and tread the footsteps of adventurers of past years. ‘’The trekking experience was exceptional and one which I would do again in a heartbeat. The view of the mountain range on the Annapurna circuit was breathtaking and will stay with me always. The sense of achievement in arriving at the village after a 6 hour walk was well worth the effort, especially once we could see how high we actually had climbed. Our trek around the Annapurna circuit enabled us to see Nepal in all its glory. We passed many smiling Nepali faces and villages on our trek, staying at cosy and friendly teahouses along the way.”

| Trekking routes vary, but the sheer beauty of the mountains does not – be prepared for views that will take your breath away. "We had the opportunity to trek in the footsteps of some of the worlds greatest mountaineers - we experienced some of what challenged them. An added bonus was being able to assist a local community school, work with the people and appreciate the unique culture."

Constructing School Furniture Two groups will have the opportunity to head for the hills after spending 5 days of volunteer work in the local communities around the village of Bhulbhule on the Annapurna trail. One group will head back to Kathmandu and prepare for the Everest Base Camp Trail, whilst the other will head up the valley and complete the Annapurna Circuit. Both treks are around 14-16 days of good solid walking, reaching altitudes in excess of 5000m. Participants need to have a very good level of fitness, as most days will require strenuous walking over an average of 6 hours. Each participant will be in a group of 10 and each group will have an Australian Group Leader, Nepali staff and when required, a Medical Officer. |
