June long weekend i was at Bundanoon YHA in NSW did a couple of great walks.

One was along old abandoned Boxvale Railway with cuttings and a tunnel after which we went down a steep incline to the Nattai R and came back via forty foot falls.

The next day we went down Meryla pass along a old abandoned Rd to Kangaroo valley which had been cut off by the Tallowa dam. Its an interesting walk through rainforest with stonework walls listening to lyrebirds very enjoyable.

Where have you been lately?

Well it appears that either, not much walking is being done or everyone is out there walking. Perhaps it's just that there are not many reading this??

I have spent the month of Feb 2010 in Tasmania doing a bit of walking - Walls of Jerusalam for 4 days, Maira Island for 3 days climbed the 'Bishop and the Clerk' great views.

I also did a day walk up Mt Roland near Sheffield. That was a big climb but worth it for the views and some alpine Vegetation & scenery.

This weekend off to Coolah Tops where i havent been for quite a few years.

Just completed part of the great north walk from Sydney to Brooklyn in seven 1/2 day sessions. Who said that walking along a river was easy!
